save costs, and power the future.

ORBI has set out on his very first mission…

The First Quest: The Smart Cooling Challenge.

India’s cooling needs are growing fast, and with them, our energy bills. By 2030, HVAC will become the single largest electricity load — and the biggest cost centre for consumers. ORBI wants your help to change that.

Your Challenge:

Design and develop a Smart Cooling Control Meter that can:

Cut monthly costs and wastage by 30%+
Track exact AC consumption (kWh per room)
Control temperatures intelligently
Detect occupancy (number of people in the room)
Communicate usage & location to the smart meter

Only the Brightest Teams will rise to the challenge.

How ORBIQuest Works

Team Composition

Teams of up to 5 members
Open to all Polaris employees (no exclusions)
Cross-functional teams encouraged
Each team must nominate a Team Lead
Mention your Team lead Email Id

The Process

Step 1: Team Registration

Submit team details and confirm participation. Get your squad together and officially enter the challenge.

Step 2: Concept Submission

Share your project document with detailed planning:

Design & technical proposition
Project requirements
Budget proposal
Roadmap & timelines

(Working budgets will be approved by Polaris and will be allocated to team for product development.)

Step 3: Presentations & Shortlisting

Teams pitch their concepts to an expert panel
Winning shortlist will be announced for progression into the prototype development stage

Step 4: Prototype Development

Build your working prototype
Work only outside regular office hours (weekends & off-days allowed in office)
Midway progress review
Mentor support will be available to the shortlisted teams

Step 5: Finale & Winner Announcement

Final showcase of prototypes
Evaluation & Winner announcement by ORBI himself

Only fully functional prototypes will be considered for winning entries.
